Fourth shelf, loaded with collectibles, including original-series Marx “Prehistoric Times” playset toys (ca. 1955), Marx wind-up Fred Flintsone riding on “Dino,” and Battat model kits of Brachiosaurus and Stegosaurus and ITC (Ideal Toy Company) Apatosaurus (referred to as Brontosaurus) skeletons, and other items.

Most (but not all) of the original Marx toys were based on the animals depicted in Rudolph Zallinger’s “Age or Reptiles” painting done for Yale University’s Peabody Museum of Natural History, parts of which are reproduced in these souvenir postcards.
